I had a lot of problems with different kinds and sizes of archives. It either couldnt extract them completely or just stopped responding in the middle of the process, and these arent one-time issues, if it cant complete the process for an archive, it always gives you the same error. A very very good alternative Ive found is called: Keka, I would highly recommend it. Did not run into a single problem ever since I switched.

Newest version with all those nagging is slower and pain to use. Great example how apple can destroy a good software with their sandboxing rules.

Finally! First unarchiver with the expand all option. You can select as many archives as you want and extract them to chosen location. Simply and quick.

Very nice and simple unarchiver with vide spectrum of formats and correct Russian translation. Очень приятный и простой в использовании разархиватор с широким диапазоном форматов и хорошим переводом на русский.

I just spent a good hour trying to get a final animation .mov from the windows side of my computer to play on the mac (I have bootcamp). For some reason the .mov file was 4 GB despite being 1.5 minutes long. All the programs meant to help were crashing… then finally this actually worked!!! yay the light poured down from the heavens and gav me my .mov on the mac side!! Now I don’t have to fail animation!!

Its a little confusing at first, but once you get it to work its amazing. I downloaded Wikipedia in the form of a 12-ish GB .bz2 file, and this is the only thing I’ve found that can handle it. Great app.
